Research to improve relationships & mental health

My research focuses on enhancing relational health and expanding access to interventions for both youth and adults. I conduct basic and applied research.

1) Basic Science

Challenging social experiences can make it difficult to navigate our lives with a sense of trust and security. Through basic research studies, I pinpoint the relational predictors of psychological distress, such as negative core beliefs, attachment insecurity, emotion dysregulation, and loneliness.

2) Intervention Research

I focus on promoting healthy relationships and enhancing psychological well-being. I develop digital single-session interventions and in-person psychotherapeutic interventions to enhance key targets, such as attachment security, communication, and emotion regulation.
